FROM THE EDITOR

"Electric. That is exactly the first word I wanted to write. Therefore the lights have been turned on in Columbus, Georgia on a winter night: I penned the first edition of this Tri-City RealScene Newspaper along with a dedicated staff, sat back with a satisfactory grin, and decided that the elements have spoken. I wanted to make the Earth move, the ground shake – hip hop IS monumental within itself, my city a vast land of budding talent, and alas the Voice of Columbus Music cries out so loudly and with a such a force I must script it. The brilliant collages of jazz, gospel's spiritual and iridescent essence, hues within hip hop hooks, prisms of poets, and illustrious rainbows of rhythm and blues bring visions of the souls of our city. We applaud the painters of our sounds and styles, move with their portraits, and supply the eclectic in our informative frame: The Tri-City RealScene Newspaper of Columbus, Georgia is the tie that binds all Black Media resources of entertainment in this area, including Phenix City, Alabama and Fort Benning, Georgia. Our publication will provide a platter of delectable goodies and insight: the who, what, why, when, and where about the music and the arts on display in our town is our expression and yours. With a special and most gracious thanks to our sponsors, advertisers, talented artists, writers, readers, critics, and contributors - I proudly present to you the Tri-City RealScene Newspaper of Columbus, Georgia. Read On..."
